What instruments do we tutor in?
We currently teach guitar and piano at the beginner and intermediate levels. We teach most styles, and to all age groups. Please inquire if you are interested in learning an instrument of level not mentioned.

At what times are tutoring sessions available?
Tutoring Sessions are available any day of the week, at most times.  Please contact us to check for availability.

Where can the tutoring take place?
Our tutoring lessons currently take place in the home of our clients. We find that it is very convenient for them and that they feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings.

How do I pay?
Clients can pay the music teacher by cheque addressed to “Oakville Music Lessons”, at the time of the session. Payment can be made weekly, biweekly, and monthly. Please contact Adrian for further questions.

How long should lessons be? How often?
For a beginner, an hour long weekly lesson is usually sufficient. If you prefer longer lessons or multiple lessons in a week, this can also be arranged. Longer lesson times are needed for intermediate and advanced pianists to enable time for formal theory lessons, which are co-requisites for higher level examinations.

How long/often will my child need to practice?
A beginner should practice about 15 minutes per day.  It is important to develop a routine to ensure good practicing habits.  Ex: Practice at the same time everyday, maybe before school or after dinner.
